Who We Are

Good Karma Garage came out of a desire to form an inclusive environment where “non-car” people feel safe and a desire to give back to the community by helping our struggling neighbors maintain their vehicles providing them with safe transportation.

When my wife and daughter shared their experience at the local garages, I found they were being sold services they didn’t need. Not only did it cost them money, but I could see in their eyes the disappointment in themselves and a hit to their self-esteem. There had to be a better way. Cars are expensive to own, and maintenance is a requirement if you want the car to last it's full life span. We can help you to establish a maintenance schedule, explaining the service items, why they are important, and how to fit them into your budget.

In 2018, my wife had a coworker in her 70’s that was working three jobs to keep her head above water. When she received a large bill for repairs needed for her vehicle to pass inspection, which she couldn't afford, my wife asked me to help her out. Since then, I have maintained her car by getting online parts at lower prices and providing the work with no labor charge. I started to think that there were a lot more folks in the greater Harrisburg area that would benefit from this service.
